When may TRT be considered?
TRT may be considered when symptoms are present together with low or clinically insufficient testosterone levels.
Common symptoms include reduced libido, weaker or less reliable erections, fatigue, low motivation, reduced muscle strength, increased abdominal fat, slower recovery after exercise, low mood, poor sleep quality and reduced morning erections.
These symptoms may also have other causes, such as stress, obesity, poor sleep, insulin resistance, cardiovascular disease, thyroid problems or medication. This is why testosterone treatment should always start with a proper medical evaluation.
